Amazing Grace Transportation is revolutionizing the medical transport industry one client at a time. The company offers non-emergency medical transport services for clients needing to get to and from dialysis, hospitals, and nursing homes. Amazing Grace Transportation serves clients in Schenectady, Albany, Saratoga and Rensselaer counties.
The Gloversville Enlarged School District has entered into a contract with a private busing service to help maintain student transportation services in the face of the local bus driver shortage. GESD superintendent David Halloran said the school district has signed an agreement with HFM BOCES and the Greater Johnstown School District to hire Schenectady-based Amazing Grace Transportation to run four daily bus routes for the two districts' out-of-district special education placement students.
Augustus Amasha, president and owner of Amazing Grace, recently moved his 20-van operation from Latham to a larger Schenectady headquarters. He's also hoping to add a service bay so his drivers can perform routine maintenance on their vans in-house, avoiding the time and expense of sending them off to a garage. He already plans to add more vans and drivers to the fleet at his new facility, which has room for 50 cars.
