CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- U.S. Xpress Enterprises announced this week that it will acquire the assets of Arnold Transportation Services and merge them with LinkAmerica Corp., a regional truckload carrier. The combined entity will operate under the Arnold name and employ more than 1,800 drivers, according to a news release from U.S. Xpress. The combined company will be owned jointly by U.S. Xpress and Tenex Capital Management, the owner of LinkAmerica.
