Aruba Airport Transportation

August 9, 2023

Aruba is one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean and it attracts travelers from all over the world. It is famous for its white sand beaches, clear waters and the presence of unique wildlife such as sea turtles and flamingos. Aruba is also home to a number of scuba diving centers and there are plenty of water sports to choose from.

The main international airport in Aruba is the Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA) located in Oranjestad. The airport has regular flights to and from the United States, Canada, several Caribbean countries, the northern coastal areas of South America, and Europe.

Visitors to the island can rent a car from the many major car rental companies that are located at the airport or arrange for a pre-booked taxi to get them to their hotel. Taxis are generally easy to find at the airport and are relatively inexpensive. They are also convenient for getting around the city of Oranjestad and to the less-traveled parts of the island.

If you’re interested in renting a vehicle for your vacation, you can book it directly from the website of an Aruba car rental company or contact one of their offices directly to reserve a vehicle and make arrangements to pick it up at the airport. Some of the more popular companies include Avis Aruba, Budget, Hertz, Thrifty and Payless.

Another option is to use a transportation service such as De Palm Tours that offers round-trip shared transfers from the airport to your private villa and back. They’ve been providing transportation services for years and their drivers know the roads of the island well.
