Car Jerks When Slowing Down

Most of us have experienced it, when we have to stop at a place and suddenly, your vehicle starts to jerk. This can be very scary, and you may start to panic.

Your vehicle is made up of many different parts that work in harmony to ensure your safety, and you need to be aware of these components. It is important that you know what to look for and how to troubleshoot if you are experiencing a jerking problem.

First, check your transmission fluid level. If it is low, you should top it up.

If the fluid is low, it is possible that there is a leak in your transmission. This is a common problem and you should take your car to a mechanic to get it repaired.

Throttle Body Issues

When your throttle body is faulty, it will not be able to control the airflow in your engine. It also may not be able to control the fuel properly.

Coil Pack Damage

A damaged coil pack can cause your car to jerk when it is running at low speeds. This is a very common problem and you can easily fix it by changing your coil packs.

Other causes of your car jerking include a blocked air intake system and a faulty MAF sensor. You can also check your oil levels and see if they are at the right level.

If you are still not sure what is causing your car to jerk when you slow down, then it is time to call in an expert. They will be able to tell you what is wrong and how to fix it.
