Groome Transportation is a privately owned transportation service that provides airport shuttles and charter buses to businesses, schools, churches, colleges, and individuals. Its fleet of late-model vehicles includes minibuses and vans with features such as automatic ramps for easier entrance and exit, wheelchair lifts, audio-video monitoring, larger LCD displays, quiet ride buses, and GPS tracking.
The company operates a twenty-four-hour, seven-day-a-week business transporting people and luggage between Hartsfield–Jackson International Airport, Macon, Columbus, Georgia, and Phenix City, Alabama. The operations are staffed by managers, clerical assistants, dispatchers, and vehicle drivers. Groome’s driver personnel follow Department of Transportation work hour limitations and undergo regular medical evaluations and drug screening. Drivers also perform safety checks on their vehicles at the beginning and end of each shift.
Buses for Groome’s Atlanta–Atlanta–Columbus route depart from the airport’s baggage claim level. Customers are advised to arrive at the bus stop 10-15 minutes before departure for guaranteed pickup. Shuttles can be tracked using Moovit’s line CHATTANOOGA-ATL or the free mobile app.
Several airlines serve the airport, including Delta, American, and AirTran. There are also MARTA rail and bus stations located in the terminal building. MARTA trains and buses travel to downtown, Midtown, Buckhead, and Sandy Springs. Alternatively, you can take a taxi to reach your destination. If you are traveling with children, bring a child seat to ensure your child’s comfort and safety. Almost all Groome Transportation buses are equipped with power outlets for charging devices.
