The Hollywood Bowl is an outdoor amphitheater located in the hills above Los Angeles, California, United States. It is the summer home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and hosts a variety of other musical performances each year. The name of the venue comes from the shape of the natural amphitheater carved into the hillside.

Getting to the Hollywood Bowl can be difficult, especially if you’re driving. Traffic can be horrendous and parking is limited. There are a few different options to take to the Bowl. You can take the Metro rail to Hollywood/Highland station and then transfer to the Hollywood Bowl Shuttle. This service departs the lot two and a half hours before the concert starts, and returns at the end of the show. Alternatively, you can catch the bus at a Metro Park & Ride lot and get dropped off directly at the Bowl. This option costs more, but it’s a great option if you want to be able to leave the concert early.

You can also get to the Bowl on foot, or by bike. The venue has plenty of free bicycle racks that are available during any hour when there isn’t a performance going on. There’s even a free bicycle repair station at the mid-gate entrance!
