Plaza las americas shopping center is located in Hato Rey, San Juan, Puerto Rico. The mall is the largest in the Caribbean and second in Latin America with over 1.8 million square feet of retail space. It is anchored by JCPenney, Macy's, Sears and Old Navy. The mall is also home to a 13 screen Caribbean Cinemas theater complex and over 40 dining options.
During 2000, the mall underwent a massive $300 million expansion. This new expansion added more stores and amenities, such as the Galaxy Lanes bowling alley. The Galaxy Lanes bowling alley contains 32 bowling lanes, an arcade and restaurant and two bars.
Plaza las americas is home to many different stores that are popular with tourists and locals alike. Some of the more popular stores include Liverpool, Quick Silver, Equinox and GUESS. Other notable stores are Fashion City, C&A, Zingara, Forever 21 and Ferdie.
There is also a very large local artisan section that showcases a wide range of Puerto Rican art and craft work. This is a great place to find unique gifts for friends and family.
The Plaza las americas mall is one of the most popular shopping centers in Puerto Rico. Many people visit the mall just to spend the day browsing through all of the various shops and restaurants.
