In 2021, a song called "Kurxxed Emeraldz" by the producer Luci4, also known as Axxturel and 4jay, went viral on TikTok's new glitching trend. It's an exercise in sense overload: pillars of bass slam against Luci4's wracked voice, and hisses and robotic gurgles, spooky chimes and slot machines, and synths that sound like they were pulled straight from the early '90s arcade game JSX.
