If you have a JVC car stereo, chances are you need to set the clock on it from time to time. Whether because of Daylight Savings, or a dead battery, the clock needs to be reset. Thankfully, the process for doing this is relatively simple. In this article, we’ll walk you through how to do it step-by-step.

Start by turning on your radio. Once it’s on, the display should be showing “Demo.” Press and hold the “Menu” button for about two seconds. Then, use the up/down and left/right arrow buttons to find “Clock Adjust” in the main menu. Select this option and the radio will show you what time it is currently.

Next, toggle the larger of the two dials until the display reads “CLOCK H.” The hour will be flashing on the screen. Use the >> button to adjust the hour, until it’s correct. Toggle again until the screen shows CLOCK M. Use the >> button to adjust minutes, until it’s correct. Once done, press the SEL button to exit the basic settings menu.

Now that you have the clock settings set, it’s time to turn on your stereo. Once it’s on, the display will show “Clock settings” on it. Push the volume button (yes, it’s a button) to enter the time editor shown on the display. Once in, you’ll notice that the hour value is blinking, indicating it can be adjusted. Simply turn the dial to the right to increase the value, and to the left to decrease it.
