Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Paducah, Kentucky, Marquette Transportation Company operates more than 130 towboats in the Mississippi River System, Gulf-Intracoastal Waterway and near-shore coastwise market. Its fleet transports a wide range of dry bulk cargoes, including grain, coal, salt, frac sand, steel products, aggregates, industrial sand and petcoke. Marquette offers a free shuttle bus for students traveling to and from the Milwaukee Intermodal Station (Door 3 of the Amtrak/Milwaukee Airport station). This service is available every Friday, except holidays and break periods, between 10am and 5pm each day. To ride, please meet at the elevator lobby of Parking Structure 1 located at 749 N 16th St. Each shuttle bus is equipped with a wheelchair lift, and aides who accompany people who need assistance are welcome to board at no additional cost.
