1. Ennis Czech Musical Festival

Polka music, Czech food, and folk dancing are celebrated each Memorial Day weekend in Ennis. This three-day festival focuses on involving the entire family in the events, encouraging everyone to learn more about Czech culture.

The festival begins with a parade on Friday night and continues all weekend with Czech music and dance. The festival includes king and queen contests, arts & crafts, ethnic foods and a variety of activities for children.

The festival is held at three fraternal halls in town, including the Sokol Activity Center and Katolicka Jednota Texaska (KJT). Throughout the weekend there are bands playing and Czech foods being sold at each of these locations.

2. Bubba’s BBQ & Steakhouse

A Texas institution that isn’t just another chain joint, Bubba’s BBQ & Steakhouse is a family-friendly place to enjoy a tasty meal and catch the latest big screen show.
