1. Take a Tour of Kuser Farm Mansion

A few times a year the Kuser Farm Mansion hosts tours. They also hold a few events in the summer and some concerts.

The mansion is one of the best known and most beautiful historic homes in New Jersey. It was built in 1892 and is a magnificent Queen Anne-style "Country Home".

Today, the property is a house museum with guided tours, numerous educational programs, Movie Nite and Winter Wonderland Christmas Tours.

It’s also home to a model train display, which is a thrill for everyone.

The Kuser family made their fortunes in a variety of industries including business, insurance and politics. Anthony R. Kuser consolidated all of the gas and electric companies in Trenton and served on the staffs of three governors. His wife’s father, John Dryden, was a U.S. Senator and founder of the Prudential Life Insurance Company.

The property also has an outstanding tennis court, which is a favorite of many famous players.

2. Visit the Sayen House & Gardens

Sayen House & Gardens is one of Hamilton's hidden treasures. It features a charming cottage and impressive gardens, and is located in historic Hamilton Square.

The property was purchased by Frederick Sayen in 1912, and he landscaped it with exotic trees, plants and flowers acquired from his world travels. It is now a municipal park.

Featuring more than a thousand azaleas, 500 rhododendrons and more than 250,000 flowering bulbs for spring display, the grounds also feature ponds, bridges, gazebos and walking trails.

In addition, there is a yearly Azalea Festival held in May.

The house can be rented for events, including weddings. Guests are welcome to stay in a quaint cottage or enjoy a meal from the home's chefs.

3. Walk Around Veterans Park

Built in honor of Hamilton’s veterans, this 333-acre park features a series of ribbons of walking paths sprinkled throughout wooded areas and intermittent picnic grounds, rest stops, and athletic fields. The west side of the park has a large lake centered by a beautiful fountain.

The park also features numerous playgrounds, a dog park, volleyball nets, and tennis courts as well as running tracks. It is also home to Hamilton’s huge Septemberfest which draws over 100,000 visitors to a day of fun.

Several military artifacts are also displayed, including a M-60 tank and an AH-1 Cobra helicopter. This makes for a unique and interesting visit for kids, especially if you’re in the market for a little military history.
