Carnegie Arts Center

Located in the heart of Turlock, Carnegie Arts Center is a venue for art exhibitions and events. Its mission is to bring diverse community and regional audiences together to experience and celebrate art in all its forms.

It offers museum-quality exhibitions of fine art from international, national and regional artists. It also has a variety of arts classes and programs year-round.

The Hilmar Cheese Company Visitor Center is centrally located in Turlock, California, about 4 miles off Highway 99. It features a MOOvie, fun hands-on exhibits and the opportunity to watch employees package the “big cheese” - a 640 pound crate of cheese.

Donnelly Park

Donnelly Park is the perfect place to have a picnic or go for a walk. It’s a 10-acre, community park featuring a lake with geese and ducks and a wooden play structure.

The shady, well-maintained environment makes this a popular choice for family gatherings and is a great escape from the hot summer temperatures. There are several rentable picnic areas (labeled A-H), a fully accessible child playground area and restroom facilities located among hundreds of beautiful shade trees.

The City of Turlock also operates Swanson-Centennial Park, which offers a large playground, perimeter and interior walking paths, covered picnic areas with barbeques, an individual picnic area, a Centennial Celebration Memorial Tree and a large dog park. The park is open daily from dawn to dusk and features shade trees, a drinking fountain, receptacles, fenced staging areas for small and large dogs, and dog pot stations.

Turlock Historical Society Museum

The Turlock Historical Society Museum is a great place to learn about the history of this town. It has tons of different artifacts to look at, including furniture, jewelry, clothing, books, tools and more.
