things to do in wenatchee

There’s a lot to do in Wenatchee. You can get a lot done on one day, and the city’s inviting atmosphere makes it a fun place to spend time with your family.

Hike in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest

The vast Okanogan-Wenatchee national forest is a haven for outdoor adventurers, offering hundreds of miles of hiking trails that offer views of high alpine peaks, lush old growth forests, and rushing rivers. It’s also home to horseback riding, skiing, and snowmobiling.

Walk through Ohme Gardens

Perched on a rocky bluff overlooking the Columbia River, the 9-acre garden at Ohme Gardens is a serene destination with waterfalls and gushing pools, rustic shelters and incredible Cascade Mountain vistas. The 0.4-mile loop trail welcomes all skill levels, and the park’s paved walkways and stone benches are great places to stop and take in the scenery.

Explore Wenatchee’s History and Art Museum

Discover the rich history of the valley and its people at the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center. It’s housed in two historic downtown buildings and spans three floors with a variety of displays that focus on the region’s natural sciences, history, and cultural arts.

Visit the Pybus Public Market

The big, airy market is a hotspot in Wenatchee where you can find a wide range of fruits, vegetables, meats, seafood, cheeses, local wines and beers, nuts, and sweets. The market is located near the famous Apple Capital Loop Trail, and it’s open every day of the year.
