Transformers Stinger - What Car is Stinger in Transformers: Age of Extinction?

February 20, 2024

Stinger is a Decepticon who uses a licensed Pagani Huayra sports car as his alternate mode. He appears in the movie's Hong Kong Pursuit scene & is controlled by Galvatron to hunt down Hound & Bumblebee. Stinger is also shown as a prototype displayed in the KSI building when Cade, Shane & Bumblebee sneak into the facility. He claims to be an upgrade of Bumblebee but when Bumblebee finds this claim to be insulting, he kicks the vehicle & ends up destroying it in the process.

The package for this figure is fairly simple with Stinger on the front & the wave 1 logo for "Age of Extinction". On the back, we get more movie scenes from Hong Kong & the "Twenty One Steps" to transform Stinger into robot mode. The figure's sculpt is well done with good detail & coloring. I like the way his head folds up & rotates to reveal his weapon. It's also nice how his car windows flip down in his chest to form his arms. The car's front wheels move up & down to help form his legs. The rear sections of the car fold down over his windshield to form his chest & the hood section pivots in that windshield to create his face.

In robot mode, Stinger is a redeco of the Deluxe Movie 4 Bumblebee toy with a flip-out arm cannon & a battle mask. He can store his 'fake kibble' hubcaps on his back in robot mode. His car mode is a redeco of the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro concept. The figure also includes 4 accessories & a removable backdrop to showcase the KSI warrior in action. Choking Hazard - Small parts. For Ages 3 years & up.
