Carlos Sainz, a prominent Formula 1 driver, has recently celebrated a significant personal milestone by acquiring his first personally purchased car after nine years in F1—a bespoke Ferrari 812 Competizione. This acquisition marks a notable upgrade from the VW Golf he'd been driving since he was 18, which was gifted to him by his parents.
Before the Ferrari, Sainz had been driving the same Volkswagen Golf he received at 18. Signing on as a driver for Ferrari in Formula 1 undoubtedly played a role in his decision to choose such a prestigious vehicle for his first personal purchase.
Sainz took advantage of Ferrari’s Tailor Made program, a service that allows clients to customize their vehicle to their exact specifications.
Sainz meticulously selected a stunning shade of satin silver for the car's exterior. The car also features glossy carbon fiber elements embellished with red accents. These red accents continue on the carbon fiber front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser, and rear air vents. Black wheels with red brake calipers complete the sophisticated exterior look.

The 812 Competizione is a coveted vehicle, with production limited to just 999 examples for the coupe version and 599 units for the Competizione Aperta, which features a removable carbon-fiber roof panel.
