What Kind of Car in Bad Moms?

February 24, 2024

If you are a fan of wry humor and sarcasm, Bad Moms is your movie. It stars Mila Kunis as a harried wife and mother of two who is about to crack. Fed up with being over-committed and over-stressed, she and her two friends decide to liberate themselves from conventional responsibilities by trading in their minivans for muscle cars.

FCA’s Pacifica minivan shines in the film. It’s a great vehicle for parents because it has class, flexibility and high-tech superiority all in one. It’s also been very popular in commercials featuring comedian Jim Gaffigan and his five lookalike kids.

But it’s possible that the real moms in this movie would prefer something a little more aggressive. A Ford Mustang is a cool car for young adults, but it’s poorly suited to mom duty with its lousy crash-test scores and clumsy on-road handling. A Dodge Challenger, on the other hand, is a better match. It has a big back seat and trunk, and it can be had in fantastic colors like Sublime, B5 Blue and Furious Fuchsia.

Or maybe a snazzy Mercedes-Benz is a better fit. While it is a three-row family car, the AMG version has 577 horsepower for optimum tire shredding. And it can go from zero to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds, which is plenty fast to escape gluten-free cookie sales and ruin gluten-free cupcakes forever. So whether you want to run away in a Mustang, a Dodge Challenger or a luxurious Merc, Edmunds has compiled a list of the best cars for bad moms.
